Selkirk is a family based band with a friendly feel and is open to anyone to join regardless of previous experience. The band is committed to keeping alive the traditions of piping whilst also seeking to develop its repertoire and the role of pipe music within the community.

There has been a Pipe Band in Selkirk as long as anyone can remember and it continues to play a major role in Selkirk, it's festivals and activities. The band enjoys generous support from it's patrons and would like to thank everyone who has contributed. Quite simply without that support the band would not exist today. Concert

At Selkirks Victoria Hall on 5th September 2008. Two bands and a folk group from Plattling, the Selkirk Silver Band and the Selkirk Pipe Band, celtic folk group Gaelforce, food and 5000 Litres of Bavaian beer - what more could you want? The 'Oompah' band from Plattling and the pipe band will play together in an innovative 'first' in a new musical genre. We hope!!!. More.....

St Laurence Fair

On Saturday 6th, a revival of an ancient Selkirk market the 'St Laurence Fair' first held in 1535 but forgotten for the last 200 years will be resurrected. The theme will be market stalls, Bavarian and continental food, beer and music with a carousel, birds of prey flying around and street performers all planned.The Pipe Band, Selkirk Silver Band and Plattling town band will provide a massed bands finale.

Common Riding

This is one of Europe's largest cavalcades and is central to the towns community spirit. It takes place on the second Friday in June. More.....

Plattling Twin Town

The twinning took place  in 1998, following a very successful visit by the Pipe Band to the Bavarian town and the band have visited regularly since.More.....
